2K Games Releases XCOM Legends Beta On Mobile Devices

The beta edition of 2K Games’ forthcoming mobile XCOM game XCOM Legends, a turn-based RPG about reclaiming Earth after alien invaders have taken it over, was recently listed. The game joins six other 2K XCOM games produced over the last decade, including XCOM: Chimera Squad last year.

XCOM Legends is set two decades after “humanity was lost” to extraterrestrial invaders, according to the Google Play Store listing. Despite the fact that the battle is finished, resistance fighters risk annihilation owing to an “unknown, ancient danger.”

As a result, players are charged with assisting in the fight against the extraterrestrial threat by collecting the game’s best warriors. Players will progressively find certain story elements as they go through Campaign Mode and other activities, such as competitive PvP and daily challenges. Each combat is turn-based, and each squad requires the usage of five warriors, each of whom has their own special skills that develop as you level up.

Since last year, when Facebook advertising for XCOM Legends permeated the Internet, the game has been on fans’ radars. However, the advertising directed users to a Google Store link that didn’t exist, causing fans to assume the game was a hoax.

After the beta’s release, 2K verified the game’s legitimacy to Eurogamer, saying, “we are always researching and testing new experiences to provide our customers the best enjoyment and value.” Players have already begun to share their impressions of the XCOM Legends beta, with YouTube channel Android IOS Cabogame uploading a gameplay video.

Because XCOM Legends is still “under production” and potentially unstable, gamers may expect numerous modifications and updates before the game’s formal release. However, for those anxiously anticipating future chapters of the XCOM series, such as a sequel to XCOM 2, the game will undoubtedly please.
