Respawn Adds New Challenges to Apex Legends to Promote Season 7

Promotions for Apex Legends Season 7 are now in the works, with Respawn Entertainment’s recent teaser involving new interactive challenges that players can take part in. Overall, there are three different challenges, which will be assigned to you by the upcoming Legend known as Horizon.

The story behind these challenges goes like this: Horizon wants to gather information on the different opponents she’ll encounter once she arrives in Season 7. You, the player, volunteer to help her out.

These challenges were introduced during the Apex Legends Champion Edition Bundle’s reveal trailer posted today. Fans work pretty fast though, so some players have already finished the challenges in the time since the trailer was released and shared with other fans what the reward is on social media.

If you want to try doing the challenges for yourself, all you have to do is go over to the Firing Range, where you will find a loot bin as well as a TV monitor on the right side of the area. The latter is something that you can interact with.

After doing so, a video message from Horizon will begin to play, but at first, her voice will be quite distorted and she will be off-camera. Once you’re done watching the video, simply check the lobby, and there you will find the new challenges under the name “A Wee Experiment.”

The challenges overall aren’t too difficult, so you should be able to complete them in a short amount of time. As a matter of fact, all you have to do is get ten knockdowns (not kills), deal 10 damage while in mid-air, and outlast at least 120 opponents.

That being said, even if you aren’t that interested in Apex Legends’ story, it’s still worth doing the challenges because they will help you progress your battle pass. Plus, each challenge will earn you 5000 CP.

Successfully completing each of the challenges will reward you with devices that allow you to turn on the gravity lifts that are placed here and there on the game’s map. After you activate all the available gravity lifts, “A Wee Experiment” will be considered as complete.

You will then be able to access the once-locked bin next to the solitary TV monitor in the Firing Range, which will contain a gun charm and a banner badge. You can then proceed to interact with the TV monitor again, as Horizon will reveal herself to you then.

At the moment, we still don’t know what role these gravity lifts play in Apex Legends Season 7. However, you can take advantage of them by letting them fling you up to high areas.

That being said, dataminers were able to discover the existence of Horizon while rifling through the game’s code, and they were also able to piece together a connection between her and those gravity lifts.

Now, fans are beginning to theorize that the gravity lifts might be an indication of Horizon’s moveset. We won’t know for sure until November 10 though, which is when Respawn Entertainment will release Apex Legends Season 7.
