Ubisoft Prepares Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for the Yule Festival in New Update

For Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s 1.1.0 title update, Ubisoft revealed that it has included preparations for the in-game Yule Festival. In addition to this, however, the update will also include changes and improvements that make the game better along with balancing adjustments.

For those who are unaware, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the latest installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise — a story set in ninth-century England and has players following the adventures of the Viking raider, Eivor.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was only released early last month, and players have been enjoying everything it has had to offer so far, along with all the Easter eggs that have been discovered along the way. However, Ubisoft has a lot more planned for its action-RPG title, with some new content even arriving to the game sooner than one might think.

The first thing on the list is the Yule Festival, which is expected to be the first post-launch event in the game, as Ubisoft previously confirmed in a post-launch and season pass trailer last October.

More specifically, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s 1.1.0 update will introduce hints and preparations for the upcoming Yule Festival, along with in-game support for the Settlement expansion. Those who have been playing the game for a while now may be familiar with settlement customization, as it’s a crucial gameplay mechanic in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Once the new update has been installed successfully, players will find that there will be revelers situated on the east side of the current settlement. However, Ubisoft has yet to reveal what the Settlement expansion will entail exactly, but more information is expected to be revealed once the Yule Season preview gets released.

Among other things, the 1.1.0 update will also contain significant tweaks that change the game for the better. For instance, the power level of NPCs will “now be at a maximum difference of 51 below the player,” according to the patch notes.

Not only that, the world boss level will now be equal to the player’s power level when it is significantly more than the base level of the boss. There are also a couple of fixes in this update, such as a fix for the legendary trophies not showing up in the longhouse or for information not showing correctly.

The update definitely introduces a lot more changes than what we’ve mentioned, and players can check out the complete list of changes on the game’s 1.1.0 patch notes.

Single-player titles usually don’t receive post-launch content, but developer Ubisoft has always been consistent in this aspect when it comes to its ever-popular series. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is an expansive open-world game, so it doesn’t really come as a surprise that it has its fair share of bugs and glitches.

However, it’s great that Ubisoft still makes an effort to polish and improve the game even after its release, which is something that will make current and future players undoubtedly happy and satisfied.

There’s not a lot of information about the Yule Festival as of now, but we trust that this won’t be the case for long as Ubisoft plans to release a Yule Season Preview article soon. So, definitely stay tuned for that!
