When thinking about iconic titles for the Nintendo Switch, there’s one game on the top of the list, and that’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Breath of the Wild is, without a doubt, one of the best and biggest installments in the Zelda franchise so far.
As such, it’s pretty much expected that the title will inspire some pretty amazing creations by fans. One incredible example is a playhouse built by a loving father inspired by Link’s home in Breath of the Wild.
The Once Upon A Workbench YouTube channel uploaded a 16-minute video showcasing how the playhouse was built. It’s definitely no small feat; the process is long and arduous, and definitely requires patience as the playhouse needs to be modeled out on a computer first before proceeding to actual construction.
The father even included tiny yet much-appreciated details, including a breakable pot, a copy of a shrine, as well as a replica of Majora’s Mask. More specifically, the concept of a breakable pot is truly innovative. The kids can break it apart and then put it back together again after, which is made possible thanks to several magnets placed in it.
It’s definitely the kind of prop or decoration that’s perfect for a playhouse, especially one that’s inspired by a Legend of Zelda game, which is a franchise known for a lot of pot breaking.
After the playhouse was completed, we were thoroughly impressed by how accurate it looked when compared to the in-game house. The playhouse was able to replicate the color scheme of Link’s home, even going so far as to include a sign that matches the one within the game.
That being said, you can purchase a copy of the plan of the playhouse online if you wish to build one in your backyard as well, though it will cost you $60. Given how incredible the playhouse looks though, purchasing the plan for that amount might just be worth it.
In any case, it’s not rare to find amazing fan-creations inspired by Breath of the Wild. After all, the action-adventure title has had a huge impact on the video game community when it launched in 2017 alongside the Nintendo Switch.
As a result, countless fan arts have been created to show appreciation for Breath of the Wild or for the Legend of Zelda franchise in general. Even though fan creations are a common occurrence, this playhouse is definitely one of the more impressive ones. This just goes to show how far-reaching the game has become, creating fans from across all ages.
Fans are holding onto the thought that Breath of the Wild will be getting a sequel some time in the future. Although, Nintendo sadly hasn’t revealed a lot of information about it ever since it was announced.
Knowing what we know about Nintendo though, the company probably won’t release the game until the developers know for certain that it has been polished and refined to the best of their abilities.
