Echo Fox has just produced perhaps the best fighting game team we've ever seen in one fell swoop. They've signed former Evil Genius Justin Wong, Yusuke Momochi, and Yuko 'ChocoBlanka' Momochi, in addition to Hajime 'Tokido' Taniguchi, Mortal Kombat X legend Dominque 'SonicFox' McLean and Brad 'Scar' Vaughn. Finally, they've rounded out the squad with young Smash Wii U upstart Leonardo 'MKLeo' Lopez Perez.
All of these will be managed by one of the legends in the community from a management perspective, Antonio Javier, also formerly of EG.
“From day one, our goal has always been to build the premier esports organization in the world, setting the new standard for professionalism, team achievement and player development and wellness. Today’s announcement demonstrates our willingness to think big, think global and execute a strategic battle plan,” said Echo Fox founder Rick Fox to Yahoo Esports' Michael Martin.
The results of these players collectively add up to the most successful team in the FGC - and they haven't even had a chance to play in 2017. They'll be ones to watch as the year moves forward. Expect to see Echo Fox jerseys on the podium, especially as this only adds to their roster of Smash Melee legend Jason 'Mew2King' Zimmerman and Street Fighter rising star Julio Fuentes.
