Gamoloco has released an infographic on the viewership of StarCraft II for 2016.
The easy winner this year was IEM Katowice, which maxed out around 72,000 concurrent viewers. IEM Katowice featured a nearly classic Cinderella run by Liquid's Jens 'Snute' Aasgaard before being defeated by EnVyUs' Choi "Polt" Seong Hun in the finals 4-2.
While this is a far cry from other top esports titles, it's still impressive for a game that many in the esports community have called "dead".
While the glory days of StarCraft may be behind us, it's clearly still got some life left in it. Also interesting to note is that it doesn't seem to matter if the event is a WCS event or not - fans of StarCraft just seem to want to watch some great games.
