The Immortals are set to now stream on Facebook Live in addition to their Twitch channels, starting today.
The push for Facebook streaming is nothing new in esports - it has been on the rise for the past year or so. But the Immortals are one of the first teams to do simulcasts to Twitch and Facebook using Restream.io.
Restream.io is a cloud-streaming service that allows you to stream to up to 30 platforms at once, including Twitch and Facebook. It's likely that other teams may follow this trend to expand their social reach.
“A big part of our mission here at Immortals is to be on the lookout for new ways to reach our fans with entertaining and engaging content,” said Immortals CEO Noah Whinston. “By adding Facebook to our cross-platform live streaming roster, we’re giving our fans even more, options than before to watch a match or interact with their favorite player on the go, anywhere and anytime.”
Immortals debuted on the esports scene last year and quickly expanded to having teams across six titles including League of Legends, CS:GO, Super Smash Bros (Melee and for Wii U), Vainglory, and Overwatch.
You can catch Immortals' livestreams on Facebook, as well as on your favorite Immortals' player's fan page.
