Juicebox Gearing Up for KOF XIV
NEWS // King of Fighters // By Chris Bahn // 6mo ago
Update: Shortly after our article, we’ve quickly learned that the passage was taken out of context. He was explaining what 'the Zone' means to him in response to a Twitch viewer. Juicebox expressed on Twitter that while he’s certainly knowledgeable of the game, it may be some time before he will consistently win KOF-related tournaments.
Our apologies to Mr. Albino for the oversight and we look forward to seeing his progress in the immediate future.
I know exactly where I stand. I'm not good enough to consistently win any KOF tournaments. But I'm almost there. The plan is to practice.
King of Fighters XIV fans might have their work cut out for them. It would seem that Eric 'Juicebox' Albino is already laying his claim to being the definitive player to beat when makes its eventual debut later this quarter. Earlier today, he cordially expressed his thoughts while livestreaming that might illicit a few other notable KOF titans to step up and show Juicebox a thing or two.
"It's not just I like this game; it's not just that I am doing well. It is — this is a life or death situation and I am going to make the most of it. It is I do not see a possibility of me losing and this is my game. It is — I can see every pixel as it goes past me and it all is information that goes in and out of my decision making and it will all become a part of me. It is — beyond the natural."
Juicebox quickly made a name for himself as an exceptional Abel specialist that often followed a rather animated "dance" during his matches. He eventually withdrew from thescene before Capcom released its final installment in the Street Fighter IV series.
Juicebox has proven he has impeccable knowledge of fighting game mechanics and often breaks down his philosophies via his personal Youtube channel. Two months ago, he offered his thoughts on how King of Fighters — which he wholeheartedly loves — in comparison to other fighters.
But is he actually going to become the equivalent of Daigo in SNK's latest installment or is this just a means to motivate other contenders to show their caliber?
