The Nintendo Switch's dock has been pulled from Nintendo's online store -
you can't see or purchase a replacement dock at all.
Running $60, the dock was sold if you wanted to have the Switch hooked up to multiple televisions or you accidently broke your dock, as some other users have done.
This could be a sign that Nintendo is set to recall the dock, which
is scratching or scuffing some user's screens. This is because the screen is plastic, not glass or sapphire like most cell phones.
I'd imagine there are factory workers busily slapping on felt or rubber to the inside of new docks, if that's the case.
According to Nintendo, the Switch is already one of Nintendo's best launches to date of a new console . Industry analysts are putting the Switch's year one sales in between 4 and 10 million. If there is a recall, that's going to be quite expensive for Nintendo to handle.
There's currently no official comment from Nintendo on a recall just yet - though as they just pulled it from their store I would expect it to happen soon.
In the meantime, some users are trying their own home made remedies to fix the Switch's dock, such as (hilariously)
using pantyhose on the Switch's dock:
Some of the Switch's other issues have been
compiled and highlighted by infamous Youtuber Crowbcat.
Update: The listing's back up, but at a different web address. Still says it's currently Out of Stock, so Nintendo could still be preparing a fix.
