GameStop has announced that they'll have fresh Nintendo Switch stock available on Wednesday, but only at in-store locations. This should hopefully give you a chance to get your own without having to shell out money to those eBay scalpers who are still overcharging.
It's possible that other retailers could see a restock on Wednesday as well. GameStop previously announced that they'd have stock, but that was with a special bundle - this wave is just the base edition of the console that runs $299.99 at retail.
“GameStop continues to see strong demand from customers who are looking to purchase the Nintendo Switch system. We are meeting this demand by securing additional systems as fast as we can to ensure customers are able to purchase this innovative gaming technology,” said Eric Bright, senior director of Merchandising for GameStop, in a statement. “The customer enthusiasm and response we have seen so far has been incredible as we continue to sell through our supply of systems. We strongly suggest any customer who is still looking to purchase a Nintendo Switch, visit one of our stores as soon as they can. This new allotment will go fast!”
The previous bundles that GameStop announced won't arrive til Easter, but you can order that online. Those two bundles come with extra games, Nintendo Switch accessories and more.
Nintendo is reportedly redoubling their efforts for the second run of the Switch, doubling from 8 million up to 16 million.
