Tom 'OGRE2' Ryan, one of the most accomplished players in Halo, has retired for the second time.
OGRE2 is the most successful player in competitive Halo history, having won 40 major events from 2003 to 2015.
OGRE2 came out of retirement upon the release of the Master Chief Collection, reforming his old team Shoot to Kill. Shoot to Kill was signed to Counter Logic Gaming following a 3rd place finish at the MCC Launch Invitational.
OGRE2 would stay with CLG for the course of the MCC, but was released from the team early in the lifespan of Halo 5 following two other roster changes for CLG. OGRE2 then joined EnVyUs, but failed to qualify for Worlds.
His last team was Denial Esports, which disbanded after failing to qualify for the HCS Pro League at the Summer Qualifier.
OGRE2 will now be seeking other opportunities in the esports world.
