Blizzard has a habit of parodying popular games within World of Warcraft, and even their own games have never been off limits. Now, Overwatch has been parodied within WoW in the returning Brawler's Guild in patch 7.1.5.
Called the Ogrewatch (a play on Overwatch, not the Shrek meme), this team of thieves, jetpack gorillas and cowboys should be instantly recognizable to fans of the game.
You can check out the Hudson, Dupree and Stuffshrew encounters by jumping to 5:45 in the below video, who show up in Rank 6 bosses:
There are at least six characters that will be parodied.
Hudson, a jetpack-wearing, lighting throw Hozen (WoW's monkey race), who also uses a barrier shield.
Dupree, a human in a cowboy hat, wielding a six shooter. Has high noon, but won't one shot you if it lands.
Stuffshrew, a goblin with an oddly familiar maniacal laugh
Four others have been data mined, but have not yet shown up during testing: Blinker (Tracer), Boargut (Roadhog), Render (Reaper), and Steingardt (Reinhardt). This means we don't know what they look like just yet.
What's your favorite World of Warcraft parody of pop culture? I'll always hold a special place in my heart for Linkle.
