Several issues were introduced with Rainbow Six Siege Patch 2.1.3/1.28 including NAT type restrictions, an error code that prevented players from accessing the game, as well as miscalculations with MMR that made you lose Ranked points even after winning the match. During today's maintenance, all of these issues will be fixed on PC, though the Ranked point loss is the only current fix for consoles.
Here's Rainbow Six Siege's maintenance schedule for today, April 20.
- PlayStation 4: 10:00-10:30 AM EST
- Xbox One: 10:30-11:00 AM EST
- Steam and Uplay: 11:00-11:30 AM EST
UPDATE: PlayStation 4 will receive another maintenance tomorrow, April 21, at the same time and will receive fixes for both the incorrect NAT type and Error Code 6-0x.
NAT Type Change
Quickly following the release of the latest patch, the Siege team has discovered many NAT types have changed from Open to Moderate, or worse.
A network update was pushed in conjunction with the server maintenance, and this is likely causing the issue.
This should be fixed for all PC platforms, but Ubisoft is still working on deploying the same fix to consoles.
Ranked Point Loss After Winning
Many players have reported issues with Ranked MMR. You might win a match, but lose rating points regardless.
MMR is now being handled differently than it has been in previous updates. It is currently being handled at a different step in our backend, and this has led to a miscalculation of the final round of a match. This most often occurs for close matches.
The incorrect MMR points being awarded after completing Ranked games should be fixed after maintenance on all platforms.
Unable to Access the Game
This error was occurring less frequently than the other issues, but is by no means any less frustrating.
The developers have addressed "Error Code 6-0x00001000" on all PC platforms and will hotfix this issue on consoles as soon as possible.
Hibana's X-KAIROS Pellets
A fix for Hibana's X-KAIROS Pellets was not part of today's maintenance and will still need more time to be addressed. The Rainbow Six Siege developers are rebuilding the backend design of Hibana's gadget.
Ubisoft's timeline for the fix is "by the end of Year Two Season Two [Hong Kong]."
Unfortunately, Rainbow Six Siege's recent NAT type restrictions and Error Code 6-0x are only fixed on PC, though Ubisoft is working to implement the same adjustments on consoles as soon as possible.
