Following today's Rainbow Six Siege Patch 2.1.3/1.28, a large number of players have reported NAT Type issues, losing points after winning Ranked matches, and in some small cases, inability to even access the game. All of these issues have been set to High Priority by the developers along with Hibana's X-KAIROS Pellets.
As these bugs and game issues are set to High Priority, the Siege developers will address these issues and update the game without waiting for the next large content update. There's no official timeline yet on when these issues will be fixed.
Hibana's X-KAIROS Pellets
The Rainbow Six Siege developers will have to completely rebuild the backend design of Hibana's X-KAIROS gadget to improve the detonation consistency. This should be completed by the end of Year Two Season Two (Hong Kong).
Developer comments: We have been investigating the issue with Hibana’s gadget randomly not detonating for a long time, and once we found the resolution to this issue we realized it is much more complex than we had expected. After significant testing and tweaking, we decided that the only way to resolve the issue was to rebuild the backend design of Hibana’s gadget. This is not an easy task, but we have targeted this to be completed within [Year Two Season Two]. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
NAT Type Change
Quickly following the release of the latest patch, the Siege team has discovered many NAT Types have changed from Open to Moderate, or worse.
A network update was pushed today in conjunction with the server maintenance, and this is likely causing the issue.
Options are being assessed now for how to best address this.
Ranked Point Loss After Winning
Many players have reported issues with Ranked MMR. You might win a match, but lose rating points regardless.
MMR is now being handled differently than it has been in previous updates. It is currently being handled at a different step in our backend, and this has led to a miscalculation of the final round of a match. This most often occurs for close matches.
A fix is being worked on now.
For now, you may want to wait on playing Ranked until the MMR calculations are fixed.
Unable to Access the Game.
This error is occurring less frequently than the other issues, but is by no means any less frustrating. The developers are working to address "Error Code 6-0x00001000" and will hotfix this issue as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, there's no official timeline on when these High Priority issues will be fixed on Rainbow Six Siege, though the developers will likely update the game with hotfixes rather than waiting to implement them in larger patches.
