Members of the Killer Instinct community were alarmed by the sudden resignation of former Ultra Arcade's General Manager — Rodolfo 'Rotendo' Camarena. But those jeers quickly turned into a moment of celebration upon learning the news of his new esports appointment.
Over the weekend, Naventic — who just recently picked up its first FGC talent — took an interest in getting someone highly experienced to oversee its new division. Rotendo will now be serving as the Naventic's Director for all FGC-related affairs.
Rotendo has lead multiple players to achieve great success including top 8 finishes at EVO, two invitationals, and multiple majors.
"Our entry into the the FGC is going to be tumultuous," says Rotendo. "I am looking forward to help Naventic build and grow as an esports brand and top competitor."
Seeing as the company has already taken its first step to establishing a footprint in the FGC, I'd imagine that they've already set their sights on some exceptional talent. There are several great players who are currently coasting on the free agent status. Could someone like Wolfkrone, Arturo, or LI Joe end up sporting the Naventic label? Anything is possible, but we'll be keeping a close watch on new developments.
