It looks like the Nintendo Switch may become a new home for the fighting game community. NeoGAF has leaked Hori's line of officially licensed products. The manufacturer will roll out a swath of different peripherals that include everything from screen protectors, car chargers, and wait — is that a fight stick I see?
Hori will release the Real Arcade Pro SW, previously developed for the PlayStation and Xbox platforms and remains one of its more popular models. The retail price shows that it will run for approximately $150.00 — lower than premium sticks on the market.
But seeing as this confirms an official arcade stick is being developed for the Nintendo Switch – what IPs will get released for it becomes the big question. King of Fighters XL, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, and Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite are all logical picks. Street Fighter V seems unlikely at this point, given that it’s still not available on the Xbox One. In any case, this should make avid fighting fans pay even more attention to the Nintendo Switch’s presentation on January 12.
