The last round-based Zombies map for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been revealed by Treyarch Studios. With the premiere of Season 6 next week, Forsaken will bring the thrilling Dark Aether Zombies narrative to a close.
Treyarch revealed the last Zombies map for Black Ops Cold War on social media earlier this month, and today gamers will be able to witness the ultimate battle between factions Requiem and Omega.
Since the game’s launch, Treyarch has constantly been updating Black Ops Cold War Zombies, bringing in fresh waves of Zombies content with each new season. This includes new perks, weapons, locations, and regions for the open-ended Outbreak mode, which contributes to the Call of Duty Zombies series’ continuing the third narrative.
Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Zombie mode, which will be completed in the series’ forthcoming Season 6, will expand on the narrative of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and serve as a direct continuation in the guise of a prequel.
Treyarch has disclosed the plans for Black Ops Cold War’s last Zombies level, which will be released next week, in a blog post on their official website. Forsaken, a new map situated in western Ukraine where Omega has built a gigantic Aetherial gateway, will be accessible for free on October 7 alongside the launch of Call of Duty Season 6.
The plot will follow Requiem and Omega Group’s ultimate confrontation in the Dark Aether to rescue Sergeant Kazimir Zykov. Both groups think that the Soviet soldier who closed the gate at Projekt Endstation is the key to dealing with the Forsaken, a strong monster that exists in the Dark Aether that Requiem will either halt or the Omega Group will control.
The blog also teases the existence of a new Dark Aether wonder weapon known as the Chrysalax, which is fashioned like an anomalous ax and may be created or obtained on the new battlefield. Treyarch hasn’t revealed many specifics about Forsaken just yet, but it has announced that additional details about the final edition of Zombies for Black Ops Cold War will be revealed in the coming days as Season 6’s October 7 release date approaches.
While fans enjoy one final thrilling Zombie adventure in the third narrative, Call of Duty Season 6 will see Activision continue to improve the series. Major map improvements are coming to Warzone in November to coincide with the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard. While no details on the prequel narrative have been revealed, gamers can expect more Zombies in the next Call of Duty game, as the Dark Aether storyline concludes with Forsaken next week.
