Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has returned, and many fans are eager to see what Infinity Ward has in store for them this year. Overall, the gentle reboot of the Modern Warfare franchise has been a resounding success.
Players who want to get a feel for the game before diving into multiplayer will play the campaign or Spec Ops mode. However, right now, it’s a normal problem for PC players to find that the cutscenes stutter, destroying the game’s overall experience. This is what we know so far.
How To Fix
If you’re playing on a computer, you’re unlikely to have encountered this problem, so don’t be concerned. Now, if you’re playing the game on a PC, it’s a different story. Any of the cutscenes may stutter for anyone operating that platform, allowing the character’s voice to not quite sync up with what’s going on throughout the conversation. You may think the game’s stunning graphics are to blame, but fortunately, there’s a different problem at hand.
According to Infinity Ward, this is an established issue, and it is caused by background disk use. There’s no surefire way for players to repair things on their own. Unfortunately, the developers have complete control. They need to go back to find the problem, fix it, and then patch it in so that their players don’t have to deal with it when playing. That will also make the game’s more dramatic, epic cutscenes even more important.
However, Infinity Ward is in the situation. In this Reddit forum, they mentioned the problem and told their fans that they are working on it. They reported back on Oct. 25 that they were aware of the problem, so we should expect a hotfix to arrive early next week. When that passes, it should be the end of the matter. Or find a way to make something else work. Unfortunately, it is how construction work works.
