Weapon bloom is a game mechanic that refers to a weapon’s accuracy trajectory, which means that where players point their crosshair and shot is not always where the bullet would fall. Many Call of Duty: Vanguard players were surprised to see the mechanic was so pervasive in the final edition of the game, despite the fact that it was apparently absent from the beta. Unfortunately, this isn’t the only aspect of Call of Duty: Vanguard that has caused players to have issues so far.
As has been the case for most Call of Duty versions, most players want their bullet to land exactly where they aim their crosshair. Another annoyance for long-time Call of Duty players is that the combat shield no longer prevents bullets when put on a player’s back when unequipped.

A riot shield (as it was previously known) could prevent bullets both while equipped and when unequipped in prior Call of Duty games, however, this is no longer the case in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
“The mix of bloom, netcode and low ttk make for some horrible feeling gunfights in an otherwise fantastic feeling MP,” one Reddit user said on a thread worrying about weapon bloom. This appears to be the common consensus among many Call of Duty: Vanguard players, as the game appears to have numerous minor flaws that detract from an otherwise enjoyable experience.
Another example is Call of Duty’s famous Search and Destroy mode, which is handicapped by a simple to fix flaw. When a bomb is defused, the bug warns opposing team players, allowing them to immediately go and remove the defuser, whereas previously, players could defuse without any prompts warning the enemy team.
Due to a bugged attachment that is required to complete the challenge, Call of Duty: Vanguard players have been unable to obtain the diamond camo for Assault Rifles.
Activision and Sledgehammer Games appear to be on the verge of creating a truly outstanding multiplayer experience. Call of Duty: Vanguard will most likely benefit from the impending Ricochet Anti-Cheat, which will address the game’s overwhelming amount of cheaters, as well as a few patches to address the minor bugs that are preventing players from having a fun time.
