Call of Duty Vanguard PlayStation Alpha Rewards and Pre-Load Date Announced

The release date for Call of Duty: Vanguard has been announced. There has already been a lot of material released about the shooter that may be the best-selling game of 2021, but additional details have emerged. The dates for the PlayStation exclusive alpha have just been revealed, but now there are additional specifics on the pre-load timings, as well as information on the event’s awards.

Call of Duty: Vanguard’s PlayStation alpha will run from August 27, 2021, from 10 a.m. PT, through August 29, 2021, at 10 a.m. PT. Champion Hill, a totally new game mode, will be featured in the alpha. Some people may want to start playing as soon as the alpha begins, thus pre-loading will be crucial.

According to a PlayStation Blog article, pre-loading will begin on August 23 at 3 a.m. PT (where the alpha links can be located). Given the huge file size of the complete Call of Duty: Vanguard game, the more time you have to download the alpha, the better; although, the alpha is unlikely to be quite as large. For those who have Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Warzone, or Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the alpha may be accessed and played once it has been downloaded/installed.

The Call of Duty: Vanguard alpha is available for free on PlayStation 4, thus no pre-order is necessary. Those that do decide to take up the FPS, on the other hand, will be rewarded. Once the integration of Vanguard and Warzone is complete, alpha participants will receive a Calling Card and Emblem to use in both Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone.

The chance to check out Champion Hill, the newest game mode, is perhaps the most intriguing aspect of the alpha. So far, the details that have surfaced today have offered the most information. However, gamers will get a true sense of Vanguard by playing it themselves, all while using the 2019 Modern Warfare engine.

Outside of the PlayStation environment, some are still eagerly awaiting their chance to play the game. This isn’t the first time an alpha or beta has been included in the Call of Duty: Vanguard experience. If history is any guide, the next pre-launch beta will very certainly be available on all platforms, even if PlayStation gets it a day or two early.
