“Demon Slayer,” hands down, is one of the hottest animes around. Based on the successful manga titled “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” by Koyoharu Gotouge, the “Demon Slayer” anime takes place in a fictional world set in the early 1900s, during Japan’s Taishō era. Here, man-eating demons roam the land every night. The story’s hero, 13-year-old Tanjiro Kamado, finds his world turned upside down when he returns home one morning to find out his whole family is murdered, except for his sister, Nezuko, who has transformed into a demon.

Kamado is determined to avenge the death of his family and find a cure that would turn his sister back into a human. He then embarks on a journey to train for the Demon Slayer Corps. The anime’s story follows him as he signs up to this underground organization of skilled fighters determined to protect mankind from the demons.

The latest season of “Demon Slayer” is the third season. “Demon Slayer” Season 3 takes it from the manga’s Swordsmith Village Arc. The season’s story takes place shortly after the happenings in the Entertainment District Arc, which is the arc adapted for the second season.

The Swordsmith Village Arc is the ninth overall arc of the book. The story sees Kamado head to the swordsmith’s village to have his damaged sword repaired. While waiting for this sword to get fixed, enemies arrive, including a fearsome adversary who can split into four different bodies and regenerate almost immediately.
