CD Projekt Red Announces Cyberpunk 2077 Release Times

CD Projekt Red and excited fans alike are preparing for the official release date of the highly-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077. After years of development and experiencing several delays, the action RPG is set to release next week.

More specifically, Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be released on a day that’s currently considered to be an important day for gamers worldwide — December 10 — as it also coincides with The Game Awards 2020.

As soon as the game gets launched, players will finally be able to experience and explore the different regions of Night City, encountering the different kinds of people and even gangs.

In line with this, the game’s official Twitter account has posted a detailed map that shows when the game will be exactly released in the different parts of the world. To make it easier and less confusing for fans, the map not only shows the launch times but the specific timezones as well.

According to the tweet, Cyberpunk 2077 will be released at midnight GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) for both PC and Google Stadia. Console users, on the other hand, will be able to experience the game at midnight local time.

If viewed from their perspective, it seems that those gamers who reside in Los Angeles and other places that use the PST timezone will be able to play the game early on December 9 at 4 PM. Of course, this only applies to PC and Stadia users.

In addition to that, there’s also one detail at the bottom of the map that many players will definitely want to know: preload times. The reason for this is because CD Projekt Red previously announced that Cyberpunk 2077’s preorders are significantly higher than the preorders in any game from The Witcher franchise. As such, the game’s release times are consequently divided between PC/Stadia and the consoles.

That being said, PC and Stadia players will initially be able to preload the game on December 7 at 12 PM CET on GOG. Steam and the Epic Games Store will follow shortly after at 5 PM CET.

As for the console users, the preload times depend on the platform. Preloads will first be available to Xbox players on December 3 at 5 PM CET. The last ones to preload are the PS4 and PS5 players, as they will only be able to do so two days before Cyberpunk 2077 gets launched.

The fact that CD Projekt Red has released a pretty detailed look at Cyberpunk 2077’s launch times only adds to its overflowing hype. For the past couple of months, the developer has collaborated with a variety of brands to promote the game through Cyberpunk 2077-themed merchandise.

At this point, it’s practically impossible to ignore the game’s looming release. To get the fans even more excited, CD Projekt Red will be hosting something like a Cybernight event. Although, not a lot of information has been revealed about this event just yet, so that’s something worth keeping an eye on.

The game’s official launch dates may have been confirmed in Cyberpunk 2077’s tweet, but physical copies of the game have already been discovered in stores. Those who do happen to get a copy of the game early should avoid streaming it before its official release though or else the videos will be taken down.
