D&D Bard Class Added To Neverwinter Jewel of the North Via New Update

Players now get a closer look at the game’s new Bard class in a cinematic teaser for the forthcoming Neverwinter expansion, Jewel of the North. Since its introduction in 2013, the massively multiplayer online role-playing game based on the Dungeons & Dragons universe has received continuous support. The game’s newest playable class, a traditional Dungeons & Dragons Bard, was previously revealed by developer Cryptic Studios, and its release date is rapidly approaching.

Cryptic Studios is aiming to make Neverwinter’s Jewel of the North upgrade, which debuts on August 24, more akin to its Dungeons & Dragons origin. The game’s level maximum will be decreased from 80 to 20 as part of the update.

This will make it easier for new players to get into the game’s endgame material, and it will close the power gap between novice and veteran players. Other enhancements, like a training room and a goal tracker, are aimed towards making Neverwinter more accessible to newcomers.

The inclusion of the Bard class will give the game a lot more diversity, and a preview of Jewel of the North deemed all of these additions to be substantial upgrades for the MMORPG.

Neverwinter has published a new cinematic video for Jewel of the North on YouTube, which provides a closer look at the update’s new Bard class. A melancholy song is sung while a series of static scenes are presented, suiting the Bard’s love of music.

In one scenario, the Bard sword fights an adversary, demonstrating the class’s ability to use both a weapon and an instrument. More shots of the Bard and his two companions battling their way through exotic places and defeating formidable opponents are presented. On August 24, Neverwinter: Jewel of the South will be released.

While some may doubt a musician’s use on the battlefield, they’d be shocked to learn that Bards are a popular Dungeons & Dragons class – maybe one of the most popular in the game. Bards are highly helpful in a standard D&D game because of their vast range of talents and abilities, especially if the other players pick more basic classes like fighters or wizards.

Bards are known for their high Charisma, which helps them convince others and acquire information, as well as their versatility, allowing them to perform a variety of roles for a party of adventurers. They may use magical powers to bolster comrades and disrupt adversaries, which might come in useful in a variety of scenarios.

Neverwinter has always been highly influenced by Dungeons & Dragons, but the game’s most recent update has taken that influence to new heights. The new leveling system in Jewel of the North brings the game closer to its tabletop role-playing roots, and the addition of the Bard class is a big part of it. Neverwinter players may now embrace the carefree spirit of a Bard adventurer, whether playing a guitar or clutching the hilt of a weapon.
