Bandai Namco has started releasing new screenshots of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC 2, making us assume that the expansion’s release date is drawing nearer and nearer. The most recent screenshots they’ve released show the Super Saiyan Blue forms of Goku and Vegeta, as well as a formidable shot of Golden Frieza.

Most of the information Bandai Namco released has either already been deduced by fans or they saw it in V Jump scans. However, this pretty much works as an official confirmation. On the downside, we have no news yet as to when the Kakarot DLC 2 will be released so that we can finally battle it out with Golden Frieza.

Given the fact that Bandai Namco posted a few shots to hype us up, there’s a chance that this means we’ll be seeing it soon.

Bandai Namco posted the screenshots on Twitter, and they don’t really give out a lot of information. However, the images do give the fans an idea about what they can anticipate from the antagonist.

The expansion will also feature other enemies aside from Golden Frieza, including the return of some of Frieza’s followers.

That being said, let’s take a moment to really look at these screenshots. The first one showcases the Super Saiyan Blue forms of both Goku and Vegeta. It doesn’t reveal much, but it does verify to us that they’ll be using their Whis outfits.

The second screenshot shows Golden Frieza punching the living daylights out of Vegeta. It’s highly probable that he’s using a special technique. Since his moveset was previously revealed, we’re assuming that he used either Golden Rush or Golden Edge on Vegeta.

The third image is interesting because it features Namek Saga enemies – such as Zarbon, Dodoria, Apule, and Cui – head-to-head with Piccolo. Last but not least, the fourth photo showcases what we assume to be Golden Frieza’s Golden Death Ball attack.

Out of all the screenshots, the third one is the most striking because as you may or may not know, all the characters you can see in the image were killed on Namek in the original story. As such, this is why you never see them during the Resurrection F arc.

On the other hand, players of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be able to resurrect these opponents using the Dragon Balls. Doing so will open up a sub-story wherein they have to be defeated all over again.

The fact that they were included in DLC 2 indicates that these resurrections are considered to be canon in the game’s storyline. This could mean that there’s a chance that other revived antagonists like Cell and Dabura might return in the future as well.

As for the fans’ reactions…well, they’re pretty indifferent this time around since the new screenshots don’t really present any new information. Right now, more than anything, fans really just want a release date for the expansion.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was released nine months ago, and it’s been nearly half a year since the first DLC was released. Naturally, fans are itching for new content and they’re hoping to get it soon.
