Epic Games Store Holiday Sale Plans To Release Free Games For 15 Days

The month of December is exciting for many reasons. Asides from the fact that it’s a festive time for family and friends to get together, December is also the time for major holiday sales. While these sales haven’t started just yet, Epic Games Store is already prepping its PC users for the highly-anticipated event.

Today, the company has finally confirmed that the Epic Games Store Holiday Sale will start on December 17, with major discounts up to 75% on a variety of games. What’s even more exciting is the fact that Epic will be bringing back a tradition that every gamer out there looks forward to annually: the Days of Free Games. This time, however, Epic Games will be releasing a new free game every single day for 15 days instead of the usual 12.

As a matter of fact, Epic Games has already begun teasing the upcoming holiday giveaway on its Store. There are two new free games displayed for this week, namely Pillars of Eternity – Definitive Edition and Tyranny – Gold Edition. However, there’s a third mystery game that will only unlock on December 17 when the Holiday Sale begins.

Instead of showcasing a teaser image for the upcoming free game, the thumbnail is of an Epic Games wrapping paper instead.

The Mystery Game shown on the Epic Games Store right now will be the first free game available during the anticipated Holiday Sale event. After the free games for this week expire, they will be replaced with more mystery games.

Once the giveaway starts, PC gamers will see a new gift from Epic and its partners which they can claim for free. If our calculations are correct, gamers will be able to redeem a free game every day from December 17 through December 31.

That being said, we have yet to see what Epic has planned for 2021. One possibility is that the company will continue to offer free games on a weekly basis just like it has done this year. Although, it’s also possible that Epic will be celebrating the arrival of the new year by continuing the daily giveaway.

On the other hand, there’s a chance that 2021 will stop the practice entirely. After all, there’s no guarantee that Epic will continue offering free games next year. Epic Games has been incredibly generous with its free game giveaways, and that’s even an understatement to say.

Those who have been claiming the free games every week without fail should have a library full of video games without having used a single cent. It’s really a win-win situation because Epic gets something out of this deal as well.

The Epic Games Store has expanded so much since it was originally launched, and we can imagine that these giveaways played a part as to why users would flock to this digital storefront. That being said, the 15 Days of Free Games giveaway has a disclaimer that users need to keep in mind.

According to the fine print, the offered games will only be free for 24 hours and not any longer. Once that given time period is up, the game will be replaced with the next free title. As such, gamers who have an Epic Games account should definitely check out the Store every single day once the event begins so that they don’t miss out on a thing.
