Fortnite Battle Bus Will Be Playable In Rocket League’s Llama-Rama Event

Last year, Epic Games acquired Psyonix, the video game developer behind highly-anticipated Rocket League. Now, an in-game event for Rocket League will be taking place soon to celebrate the fact that the title is going to be free-to-play on the Epic Games Store.

The Llama-Rama event will start at 3:00 p.m. PT (10 p.m. UTC) on September 26 and will keep running until October 12. Along with the event comes some familiar items from Fortnite. The vehicular soccer video game will be free-to-play starting tomorrow, which is super exciting.

This means that new players still have sufficient time to download the game before the Llama-Rama’s in-game rewards become available. Previously, Rocket League events featured unique in-game currency that players could earn from matches, which they could then use to purchase themed rewards.

This time around, though, the Llama-Rama event will feature Fortnite‘s challenge system.

The Llama-Rama event will feature Event Challenges, according to Psyonix. These challenges will reward players with a certain kind of item for every completed one. Psyonix has yet to reveal what the challenges are, but players will be able to acquire the Fortnite Battle Bus as a playable vehicle if they do complete every single challenge.

There will be other vehicles from other video games featured in Rocket League asides from the Battle Bus, though. For instance, there’s the Warthog from Halo, Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal, and even the Batmobile.

That being said, Psyonix has already revealed some of the Event Challenge rewards and they pretty much fit the overall Llama-Rama theme. From what they have revealed so far, they have included a Fortnite Llama paint job, wheels, banner and topper.

On the other hand, the Battle Bus will also come with signature wheels, and it will even include the balloon it uses to float around in Fortnite.

Completing all the Event Challenges won’t just reward players with the Battle Bus, though – they will also be able to fully deck out their vehicles with a llama theme. That is, if they want to.

Also starting tomorrow, Rocket League will also be starting “Season 1” with an all-new Battle Pass. This will actually be the title’s 14th season, however, this will be the first season that Rocket League is hosted under Epic Games.

As such, if you link your Epic Games account to Rocket League, you will be able to unlock and receive exclusive rewards.

Even though Rocket League was released all the way back in 2015, the game was able to maintain its status of being one of the most played games. In fact, the title broke its peak player record across last March with over 500,000 active players.

Now that the game will be free-to-play very soon, it will definitely garner even more players worldwide. Given the fact that they have collaborated with Fortnite for the upcoming “first season,” another extremely popular game, the potential for Rocket League to grow will only keep rising.

Rocket League is an arcade-style vehicle-based soccer game and it’s available to play on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
