Huge Castlevania Music Collection Now Available For Preorders

A huge 26-disc Castlevania OST music compilation is coming to Japan in December, according to Konami. Castlevania debuted in 1986 as a horror action-adventure platformer with a hypnotic and immortal soundtrack. That music would go on to become a crucial part of the series. With the 35th anniversary of Castlevania this year, Konami appears to have reignited interest in and support for the popular franchise.

The $256 Castlevania OST music collection, which will be released in Japan on December 15th (via Siliconera), is split into two volumes that cover 26 discs and come in two distinct sets dubbed Castlevania Black and Castlevania Red.

The entire collection will include music spanning a wide range of early and late-stage Castlevania games, including Castlevania, Simon’s Quest, Symphony of the Night, and Harmony of Despair. Starting today, fans who pre-order the collection directly from Konami will receive a bonus 14-track CD with MIDI versions of songs from the SNES Castlevania: Dracula X.

While the forthcoming music collection will preserve the franchise’s evocative OSTs, Konami also re-released Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls on the Apple Arcade earlier this month. The game included a fresh new Michiru Yamane music that was only accessible in the game.

Fans may put on their nostalgia goggles and enjoy the wonderfully rhythmic oldies contained on the Castlevania OST soundtrack compilation due out later this year, even if not every tune is included.
