Indian Gamers Getting Free Xbox Game Pass For 8 Months

Xbox Game Pass is being given away for free to Xbox players in India for the next eight months. Microsoft’s subscription is a gift to its Indian players, and fans recently learned about it in an email sent to all subscribers.

The reason for this generous gift appears to be a recent policy change by the Reserve Bank of India, which changes the way recurring payments are handled in the country. As a result of this change, Microsoft is reconsidering its own recurring payment policies but is providing this free subscription to avoid any outages during the transition.

For those who are unaware, Xbox Game Pass provides subscribers with access to over 100 free games as long as they remain subscribed. It is similar to Sony’s PS Plus service, which is available on all of its platforms. Xbox players typically pay around $15 per month (Rs. 699/month) to keep their subscription, implying that an 8-month package is worth around $120. (Rs. 5600).

This offer is not limited to current subscribers; new subscribers can also take advantage of it for free. As part of this promotion, players in India who do not have an Xbox Game Pass subscription will have access to the service for seven months.

Naturally, the monthly fee will resume after the seven months are up, but it’s a great way for players in that region to get started and see if the Xbox Game Pass subscription is worth the money.

It is worth noting that new subscribers must pay for one month in order to receive the seven months for free, but paying Rs. 699 for eight months of Xbox Game Pass is hardly unreasonable. Players with existing Xbox Game Pass subscriptions, on the other hand, should have had the extra eight months added to their accounts automatically. This will allow players to play some of Xbox’s major first-party games, such as Halo Infinite.

Outside of the first-party games mentioned above, several high-profile third-party games on Xbox Game Pass are available for free. Players have enjoyed Scarlet Nexus, Outer Worlds, Hades, and many other games. It only stands to reason that this platform will continue to offer great titles, and at the cost of nothing, it’s difficult to argue.
