Do you want to share your browser tabs or things online that are preoccupying you at the moment easily with your friends and loved ones? This is now possible with Microsoft Edge’s newly-launched feature.
Early Access
Microsoft Edge has rolled out Early Access for its new Workspace feature, which means it is running but with limited public preview. Yet, it comes with a wide range of benefits.
Using this new Microsoft Edge Workspace feature, users can now save and share a set of browser tabs, get this, through just a single link. This will negate the time needed to share individual links, and that single link already contains many tabs.
You can save various tabs on the same topic and also label them within the Microsoft Edge browser. Sounds familiar to you? It may appear similar to Microsoft Edge’s Collections feature, launched in the past, that lets you save and organize web pages. But the Workspace feature is different. It adds another layer of usage as you can now share the saved tabs with your friends and loved ones, who can then add or edit tabs in real time. Impressive, right?
Collaborate with your colleagues
This new feature on Microsoft Edge sits in your browser’s top-left corner. As you click on it, you can bee an option to create and name the new Workspace. You can even assign a color to distinguish it from your other Workspaces. You can then add new tabs to this Workspace and share them with your friends, family members, or colleagues very easily.
For you to share the Workspace tabs, you will have to click on the “Invite” button to the right of Microsoft Edge’s address bar. Then, click the “Copy link” button. You will then have the option to send the link through email, Slack, or, believe it or not, any other messaging platform of your choice. However, the person who gets the link must download the Microsoft Edge browser to view or edit the tabs you have shared. When the invite is accepted, you can see their name and icon in your Workspace along with the tab they are interacting with them.
Are you worried about your security? Microsoft said it would not share private information when using this feature. These include passwords, downloads, collections, extensions, and the like. Also, nobody can view the website content only you have access.
Go ahead and give this a try.
