One lucky fan will be receiving an Xbox Series X-inspired refrigerator in November, thanks to a new online contest hosted by Microsoft. Gamers have been likening the Xbox Series X to a refrigerator in the form of various fan animations and internet memes because of its tall and rectangular design, which is a startling aberration from Microsoft’s previous consoles when it was first revealed last December.
It appears that even Microsoft has joined in on the joke, as a refrigerator in the form of the Xbox Series X was seen at the back of Aaron Greenberg, Xbox’s Games Marketing Manager, during the Inside Xbox event last May.
The fun continues a few months later when self-proclaimed gaming enthusiast and rap icon Snoop Dogg announced he received a custom-made Xbox Series X fridge for his birthday a few days ago. Now, Microsoft announced that it is giving one of its fans the opportunity to own one of these super rare storage units for free, and all they have to do is to share a tweet.

A few hours ago, Xbox posted an announcement for an upcoming contest on its official Twitter account, consisting of a video of the Xbox Series X-themed fridge being rolled out of a giant box. The short clip features the fridge opening up to unveil all of the beverages and food that it could cater inside it, as text guides fans to follow the official Twitter account of Xbox and retweet the post before November 4 to get an opportunity to win the fridge.
Based on the official rules and regulations of the contest posted on the Xbox website, only one person will win this amazing fridge, which is said to cost at least $499 were it to be made available in the market.
With the Xbox Series X set to release on November 10, Microsoft is doing everything it can to build up the hype for its next-gen console, which will be competing with the Sony PlayStation 5 for fans’ hard-earned cash.
Last month, Xbox released a jaw-dropping new Xbox Series X television advertisement featuring Get Out actor Daniel Kaluuya flying above a mysterious world to the music of Labrinth. In addition, Microsoft also unveiled a video explaining the different games and features that will soon be available as soon as the Xbox Series X finally releases worldwide in a few days.
This is certainly an interesting time for Xbox fans, and this new contest is an exciting way to acknowledge one of the next-gen console’s most charming memes. The Xbox Series X fridge will surely be a nice addition to any fan’s kitchen, and one lucky winner will be taking it home ahead of the real Xbox Series X’s release next month.
