A Samsung smartphone on a table.

Samsung Internet is a custom Internet browser for Samsung tablets and phones. Some of the most well-loved features of Samsung Internet are the password-protected Secret mode, the privacy dashboard, the video assistant, and many customization options.

If you prefer using Samsung Internet, you may realize that its layout features still have room for improvement. Now, your wishes have finally been granted. Samsung Internet has introduced new and improved layout features. Take a look at this news.

Improved layout features

Samsung Internet’s beta version recently received an update, version 21.0.0.41, and perhaps among the biggest highlights of this update are the new customization features that make it easier for users to access the URL, bookmark, and tab bars on larger screens and tablets.

This new update is now live on the Galaxy Store. Don’t worry because it will also arrive on Google Play soon. You will notice that the most significant change here is for tablet users. The ability to move the URL or address bar to the bottom of the screen for easier reach is now available on tablets too.

Aside from this capability, the new update now also allows users to move the bookmark and tab bars to the bottom, as well as the address bar on both tablets and phones. Before this feature, the bookmark and tab bars could only be positioned at the top of the screen. If the user attempted to move the address bar to the bottom, it would be disabled.

For those who like opening lots of tabs

And, for those fond of opening lots of tabs, the new update also has something for you. While Samsung does not mention this in its changelog, Samsung Internet will also now notify you once you are almost close to the 99 tab limit. Opening the 100th tab automatically closes the first tab. But don’t fret. A pop-up will appear to ask you if you want to reopen the tab automatically closed.

For a long time, Samsung has kept some of these features exclusive only to phones, but you can see things are finally changing.

You can download the new update on improved Samsung Internet layout features from Google Play or the Galaxy Store. However, note that this update’s availability may vary according to device and location. There are instances when you won’t see it on the app stores for now, but be sure to check back later. Samsung Internet will also notify you if the update is available for download.
