New Call of Duty Mobile Trailer Showcases Halloween Map and Cosmetics

With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone both honoring Halloween, it’s only natural that Call of Duty Mobile would too. Fans of Call of Duty Mobile may expect new cosmetics and levels inspired on the scary holiday this year.

Call of Duty Mobile Season 9 is named “Nightmare,” while other CoD titles will be experiencing another round of The Haunting. In a new teaser for it, players can see various cool cosmetics, all of which will be accessible in the next weeks.

The items in question will be part of the Season 9 battle pass, which will contain a new Operator skill and weapon in the free tiers, as well as a new Operator skill and weapon in the premium tiers. While self-healing and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Swordfish should be entertaining to use, the other material truly captures the Halloween spirit.

A customized Scarecrow skin for the Operator Nikto is one of the looks available in Call of Duty Mobile, as featured in the trailer. Other clothes are seen, such as Artery’s Nosferatu skin and Gunzo’s new look, which has the Joker-like clown with metal spikes on his skull. Players fight through hallways of mirrors and perch atop buildings in the clip, demonstrating some of the additional weaponry available with the Pass.

There will be two frightening levels this season, with the classic Call of Duty map Standoff receiving a Halloween makeover. The Chinese border town will be given a nocturnal environment. The area will be crammed with Halloween decorations, yet this will not be the only unique play location available to gamers. The Hovec Sawmill level from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is coming to Call of Duty Mobile, and while it’s set at night to fit the spooky season, it should play just as well as it did in the 2019 game.

New modes will be arriving to Call of Duty Mobile for Season 9 as well, however, they were not seen in the Nightmare teaser. The Drop Zone from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is featured, and while it’s similar to Hardpoint, players only score streaks if they hold the Zone, which forces objective play. 10v10 Pumpkin Confirmed will also be available, and despite the name change, it will play similarly to Kill Confirmed. The most significant change will most likely be that instead of dog tags, players will be given jack-o-lanterns.

There is definitely a lot for fans to be excited about, especially with Call of Duty Mobile’s Undead Siege Zombies mode returning for Halloween. Fortunately, participants won’t have to wait long to participate in the event, which begins today at 8 p.m. EST.
