New Gameplay Footage & Story Trailer For Immortals Fenyx Rising Released Ahead of Demo Launch

Ubisoft has an amazing lineup of new games coming before the year ends and one of which is Immortals Fenyx Rising. The game is set to receive a demo next week but today, fans are getting a couple of jaw-dropping trailers.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is expected to be one epic action-adventure game thanks to references from Greek mythology. Ubisoft’s upcoming new IP is already gathering a lot of attention however, it looks like there are still a lot of surprises in store. In just a few days, fans will witness a digital-only demo for Google Stadia. To celebrate the event, Ubisoft released a brand new trailer for the game.

The new story trailer is told by Prometheus and Zeus. Peculiarly, the teaser itself has a funny mood. While Immortals Fenyx Rising does have a serious setting, it still offers a few exciting features for everyone to enjoy.

Based on the trailer, Fenyx is a young shield wielder who was washed away on the Golden Isle. According to Prometheus, Fenyx is the chosen one who will assist in saving and reuniting the Greek gods from the main villain of the game – Typhon. For those who aren’t familiar, Typhon is one of the most powerful titans in Greek mythology. In the new trailer for the game, fans also got to see a few popular Greek figures such as the Cyclops, Minotaur, Medusa, Athena, and Hermes.

Aside from the new trailer, fans also got to see new gameplay footage for Immortals Fenyx Rising. The gameplay footage showcases the game’s first boss fight against a giant called Mikros the Adorable.

Looking at the new gameplay footage, fans can witness that the game offers more openness and fluidity in combat compared to Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. Fenyx is also seen using an array of various abilities to take down enemies. Still, combat is mostly hack-and-slash.

In the series of events leading up to the boss fight, Fenyx had to go through a gorgeously designed dungeon. There, the protagonist faced several tough puzzles to solve. It’s possible that players will spend most of their playtime going through the puzzles inside the dungeons in the game.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is set to be released this December for the PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. While it’s been regarded as a Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild duplicate, a lot of fans believe that Immortals Fenyx Rising will have a lot more to offer than just a hack and slash game
