Niantic Changes Pokemon Hatching From Pokemon Go Eggs

The insanely popular mobile game Pokemon Go is finally receiving an update that would change which Pokemon can hatch from the eggs in the game. New seasonal changes will be taking place with probable Pokemon that can hatch now being picked from a new group of Pokemon every season.

Pokemon Go offers a collection of Pokemon eggs which can be hatched inside the game by achieving the designated distance in real life. As an Augmented Reality game, Pokemon Go demands its players to move around in their real-world environment in order to gain experience and encounter Pokemon in the game.

Hatching eggs works in a similar way, with the built-in pedometer gathering information on how far players walk each day, even while the app is not active. Various colored eggs hatch at various milestones, with the usual eggs hatching at 2km, 5 km, 7km, and 10 km respectively.

Depending on the range needed to hatch an egg a unique kind of Pokemon can be hatched. Hatching eggs requires the use of an egg incubator. Egg incubators and super egg incubators can be bought via real money and in-game currency for a restricted number of uses to hatch more than one egg at a time.

Because of the consistent work of Pokemon Go trainers across the globe helping Professor Willow in his case study, developer Niantic is mixing up the probable Pokemon appearing from hatching eggs, something that has been a consistent feature of the game since it was released in 2016.

The details on how the developers will be changing the eggs going forward with every season are yet to be announced, but Niantic has already given a long list of new Pokemon that will begin appearing in every unique kind of egg alongside the blog post which revealed the change.

Currently, Team Go Rocket battles have been giving an all-new egg-type as a reward called Strange Eggs for beating Team Go Rocket Grunts as well as the Squad Leaders. The Strange Eggs hatch after accumulating 12 km of walking into either a Deino, Vullaby, Pawniard, Trubbish, Scraggy, Sandile, Absol, or Larvitar.

The original eggs can still be received by visiting PokeStops or by opening gifts given by friends to acquire the 7 km egg that contains Galarian and Alolan Pokemon forms exclusively. Hatching eggs will help trainers fill their Pokedex quicker, with retired players likely to return to Pokemon Go now that hatching eggs will again be rewarding.

The development team has been making the game far more satisfying in the previous months, holding numerous events and introducing new mechanics for Pokemon Go. Here’s expecting the next update will bring another batch of powerful Pokemon from the more recent generations.
