Nintendo Promises to Fix Passport Bug in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

A few days ago, Nintendo revealed an all-new update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons that will feature a bunch of new spooky content to prepare players for Halloween. However, after the major update was launched, players have noticed a pesky bug in the game.

This bug affected New Horizons’ in-game passport, as some players have observed that some titles that you’re supposed to be able to get with Nook Miles can no longer be seen in the passport. Without a doubt, this is a very minor issue in the grand scheme of things.

However, we also don’t deny that it can be annoying for those players who want to collect every available title on their in-game passports. Fortunately, Nintendo was very swift in responding to this issue and told fans that the developers are already working on a fix.

Nintendo posted their statement on social media, where they first apologized for the trouble the bug has caused. The company then acknowledged the fact that the 1.5.0 update introduced the issue to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but he goes on to say that they are “currently fixing the bug and will send out a bug fix as soon as possible.”

We don’t know how long it will take for the game’s developers to come up with a fix, but since it’s just a minor issue, we’re sure that a patch containing a fix will be released soon.

Asides from this trivial bug, Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ latest update introduces all kinds of new content to the game, as the title has transitioned from Summer to Fall. One big change you may or may not notice in the game is the difference in the overall color scheme, as it now has a palette that reminds you of Autumn.

In addition to that, you will find pumpkins in the Fall/Halloween update, which you can use to decorate your homes or as a material to create Halloween-themed DIY recipes. Another exciting thing you’ll find in the update has to do with the Able Sisters, as their shop now has brand-new Halloween costumes that you can purchase and use to go trick-or-treating.

When October 31st arrives, your character, as well as your island’s villagers, will meet up at the plaza around 5 in the afternoon in order for the Halloween festivities to commence. As far as we know, the plaza will have Halloween-themed decorations and you will be able to give out candy to your villager friends.

Among other things, the update also brings with it Jack, otherwise known as the “czar of Halloween.” He’s actually considered to be the latest visitor you’ll meet on your island. During those times when Jack visits your island, you will be able to give him lollipops in exchange for rewards that follow the Halloween theme.

Last but not least, the NookLink app won’t be missing out on all the fun. In this latest update, you can now use the NookLink to conveniently perform Reactions in-game.

For instance, if you want your character to act heartbroken or angry, simply click on the emotion found on the NookLink and your character will perform the said action.
