Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Poketch Improved

The Pokétch has made it easier than ever to use HMs, according to a new promo for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Instead of tying HMs to moves and Gym Badges, the Pokémon franchise did away with them in Pokémon Sun and Moon by allocating them to an outside object that is improved throughout the course of the game.

In the Pokémon series, HMs (Hidden Machines) were initially employed as progress gates. Cut, Strength, and Surf were utilized to go to other places, however in order to perform these techniques outside of combat, players needed to get Gym Badges.

This guaranteed that players were conquering Gym Leaders in a specific area and leveling up their Pokémon at a realistic rate as the tale progressed. The difficulty with this system is that Pokémon had to squander move slots on HMs, which meant that by the end of the main narrative, virtually every player’s team would have a Water-type Pokémon, as Surf is the most often used HM in the series.

This method was still in use in Generation IV, although the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remakes appear to have devised a smart alternative.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl look to be authentic remakes in terms of bringing back original material, which has some fans worried that the old HM system would make a comeback.

However, according to a new teaser on The Official Pokémon YouTube Channel for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, this is not the case, as players may utilize an upgraded version of the Pokétch objects to perform HMs.

From Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, the Pokétch was a smartwatch-like gadget with useful apps for trainers to utilize on their Pokémon adventures. The Pokétch turns out to be a lot more helpful in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

According to the teaser, instead of reserving a Pokémon move slot for HM moves like Cut and Surf, players may call on nearby wild Pokémon to utilize them at any time. Despite not being in the player’s party, Bidoof, one of the greatest HM mules in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, is shown in the trailer performing several of the HM moves during gameplay.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have received mixed reviews, with some fans bemoaning the game’s new graphic design and others worried that it lacks enough all-new content. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have, at the very least, eliminating the necessity for HM mules in the Distortion World.
