If you have been following the NFT industry since its launch last year, you’re probably familiar with the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) NFTs. These two NFT projects are pretty popular, and it appears that their fame won’t be dying out anytime soon. After world-renowned rapper Eminem recently purchased a Bored Ape Yacht Club non-fungible token, BAYC, and MAYC NFTs saw a significant trade volume increase over the last seven days.
Bored Ape Yacht Club is a famous NFT project consisting of 10,000 one-of-a-kind apes. At this time, 6,067 unique addresses hold at least one of these digital apes. One Ethereum address holds approximately 105 BAYC NFTs, which is quite impressive.
According to statistics, Bored Ape Yacht Club has seen $78.26 million in only a week across 434 traders. The BAYC volume has increased by 150.97%, while the number of traders has increased by 101.86%. Not only that, but BAYC sales have also increased by 122.95%.
BAYC’s current all-time metrics show that the project’s overall market valuation is now at $2.73 billion. The floor price of only one BAYC is approximately $273,420 in ether as of this time, but the average price is around $287,740 per NFT.

Mutant Ape Yacht Club Is Also Seeing a Massive Boost
BAYC isn’t the only project getting an incredible boost, though. Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), the sister project of Bored Ape Yacht Club, is an NFT collection that had a spike in volume this week. The project’s volume is currently $93.02 million, which means MAYC saw an increase of up to 93.41%.
MAYC has had a total of 2,234 traders this week alone. The project’s individual floor price is $59,180 per MAYC, but they’re selling for $54,270 on average. While the BAYC collection only touted 10,000 apes, MAYC has a total of 20,000 unique apes.
This NFT collection is interesting because you can only create a MAYC NFT by tethering a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT to mutant serum. Another way is during the public sale’s mint process. As a reward for those who continue to hold BAYC, MAYC offers them a mutant version of their owned NFT that they can choose to sell on the open market. At this time, about 7,623 mutations have been released.
Looking at MAYC’s lifetime sales, the NFT project has seen 184,791 ether in all-time volume, which costs around $707 million when converted to USD. Not only that, but about 11,148 unique ethereum wallets currently hold at least one MAYC NFT.
Over the last seven days, another BAYC NFT was bought for 430 ether or $1.64 million. The purchased ape was #3562, and it was considered the most expensive BAYC sale this week.
