Stardew Valley May Feature New Content in 1.5 Update

ConcernedApe has indeed been very busy, as he has been rolling out updates left and right for the popular farming game Stardew Valley. On his Twitter account, Eric Barone – otherwise known as ConcernedApe – posted a brand-new screenshot from the 1.5 update.

He may not have spilled a lot of information about it, but we have put on our thinking caps and thoroughly investigated the screenshot. As such, we have zoomed in on some details that have led us to believe that this new update will feature new content.

There are three things in this screenshot that we have noted to be important: 1) the bench, the trees, and the ducks. First up, let’s talk about this bench. We can see a lone bench in the screenshot and a playable character seems to be sitting on it. Now, this is exciting because up to this point, sitting on benches is not a feature that the game has.

Next, we have the trees. The trees in the screenshot look like your average tree in Stardew Valley, however, they appear to be submerged in water. Again, this is something completely new to the game.

Last but not least, the screenshot shows a couple of ducks. Don’t get it wrong, we’re not saying that ducks themselves are new – they’ve been around for quite some time in the game. However, we’ve never seen them swim in the water before like in the screenshot.

This could mean that Stardew Valley’s 1.5 update will feature a new area that has wild ducks, or these could be the ducks from your farm.

In another tweet, ConcernedApe has also confirmed that one new feature we will see in the game is the ability to move the bed. This is minor, but we think it’s pretty cool nonetheless. For now, there is no official release date yet and the fans are more than willing to just wait.

There’s not a lot of information regarding this update just yet, but we’re still holding on to ConcernedApe’s promise that we can plant bananas at some point in a future update.

Stardew Valley is currently available on Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. It’s a wonderfully relaxing farming simulator that you should definitely try out if you haven’t yet.
