Thanos Returns To Fortnite As Limited Skin

In Season 7 of Fortnite, Epic Games has announced Thanos’ return, which will offer players the abilities and vanities of The Mad Titan through a special skin. Epic crossovers are nothing new to Fortnite, and right now, the game is including some of the most iconic figures in pop culture.

Rick Sanchez and Clark Kent, a.k.a. Superman, are playable characters in the game, each having their own set of skins and decorations. Thanos has already joined the Fortnite party, complete with his own dance routines, but gamers have never had the opportunity to acquire a permanent Thanos skin, and now they will.

Before his final act in the MCU, the Avengers: Endgame villain emerged in Fortnite, allowing gamers to use the infinite gauntlet for spectacular gaming possibilities. Thanos’ enormous crossover into the Fortnite Universe includes a unique Infinity War mode, as well as Thanos himself appearing in the game to carry out his master plot to wipe out half of the universe.

The game option lets players pick up Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet, transforming them into the Mad Titan himself, complete with ego and unrestricted power. Gamers were anxiously scouring the map for the Infinity Gauntlet due to increased stats, a lethal move set, and the possibility to play as Thanos, but the developers never offered players a permanent Thanos skin. That has all changed now, thanks to an official declaration stating that Thanos is unavoidable.

The game’s developers initially released a not-so-cryptic tweet that pays homage to Thanos and his evil statement in Avengers: Endgame in spectacular Fortnite form. “He is unavoidable…” says the tweet, which is followed by six colorful circles, which are most likely infinity stones.

The teasing was only a tease before Fortnite confirmed Thanos’s return and announced that players would be able to fight for a chance to win the Thanos Outfit and Infinity Gauntlet Back Bling inspired by the MCU’s Avengers: Engage barely over an hour later. The item will subsequently be available for purchase in the item shop.

If you don’t want to wait for the Thanos skin, you’ll have to brush up on your Fortnite abilities. Participants in the Thanos Cup will have the opportunity to acquire the skin before anybody else. Players must bring a Duos Partner to the event, which starts on June 21.

Winners will get to play as Thanos before the skin is released to the public on June 26 at 8 p.m. ET. Players must join up on June 21 to acquire the skin ahead of its release. They will be given three hours to engage in ten matches and gain as many points as possible. Those that get the highest score will receive their prize; however, the Thanos cosmetics placing criteria vary per location.

Fortnite has already hinted about crossovers in this fashion, with cryptic tweets. On June 7, right before his character was transferred into the Fortnite Universe, Rick Sanchez was teased in this fashion. With Thanos, Fortnite did it again, but it wasn’t obvious if a skin or an event was on the way when the initial tweet was sent. Fans of Fortnite were smacked with both.

Those that want Thanos early will have to work hard, while those who wait will be rewarded. In any case, Fortnite has officially verified that Thanos is unstoppable and that not even being snatched out of existence would stop him.
