Pyromancer builds can range from being melee focused to long-range. But what are the best Pyromancer builds for Dark Souls III? Read further.

Dark Souls III is one of the most popular RPGs or role-playing games with tons of classes to play. Even though things keep changing as you play the game, the Pyromancer stays put. Essentially, it is a starting class known for its firepower and damage resistance.

However, having a strong Pyromancer build is easier said than done. You must have an in-depth understanding of the game alongside its mechanics and items so that you can get the best build. The question remains, what is the best Dark Souls III Pyromancer build for PvE or Player Versus Environment? Hold on to your magic swords because we are about the slice this curiosity.

How To Build A Pyromancer In Dark Souls III?

The Pyromancer in Dark Souls III deals with a heavy amount of fire damage, directly or through his toolset, to weaken and defeat enemies.

To work successfully, you should invest heavily in Dark Souls III Pyromancy scaling, especially Faith and Intelligence stats, and level yourself up to 25 to utilize the vast majority of Pyromancy spells in this game.

In addition, you can obtain or learn Pyromancy flame spells from either Karla or Cornyx. Both appear in the Firelink Shrine once you find out where they are in the game’s world.

Both specialize in various forms of Pyromancy. Karla is a master of Dark Souls II Pyromancy Flame, while Cornyx caters to the basic form.

However, to master these spells, you must acquire Tomes of Pyromancy scattered across the game.

Best Dark Souls III Pyromancer Builds

There are different ways you can use these spells, all according to how close or far you want to be in combat. Every Dark Souls III Pyro build listed here is versatile and will work for almost all engagements, but be wary as some enemies can manipulate the gap between you and them.

Naturally, casting in the game is relatively slow, and getting hit while casting will cancel your spell animation and, subsequently, the spell.

So, be careful while timing your spells. We all know that Dark Souls can take all of your health away on a whim.

Furthermore, we recommend locking on your enemy before casting a spell on them to ensure it connects.

Dark Souls III Pure Pyromancer Build

Touted as the best Pyromancer build in the game. This is a build for everybody who wants to make damage with fire spells their primary asset.

The Dark Souls III Pure Pyromancer build actually places little importance on direct weapon combat, and necessitates you to keep your distance and exploit this game build to the fullest.

Obviously speaking, you must start with the Pyromancer Dark Souls III class. Your Attunement, Intelligence, and/or Faith Stats must be at 40, but levels near there will do just fine.

And to maximize damage, it is recommended that you have a couple of fantastic items, namely the Great Swamp and Witch’s Rings which can boost your fire spell damage by 12 and 20 percent, respectively.

For armor, honestly, you can go with any that you wish. This is since Pyromancy is not an armor-dependent skill. It can even be utilized with your Loincloth on, though we do not recommend it.

Then, there are the spells. We would ideally opt for the Black Fire Orb, Great Chaos Fire Orb, and Chaos Bed Vestiges Warmth.

Each of these spells is powerful in its own right. Each brings something new to your arsenal. Warmth is the most basic of these. It gives you a bit of health back, which is crucial if you are not big on armor.

The Great Chaos Fire Orb is an upgraded form of the Fire Orb. It deals with some AOE damage when deployed near enemies, while the Chaos Bed Vestiges are balls of fire that deal with a ton of damage; actually, the most out of all four.

Finally, the Black Fire Orb spell refers to the dark counterpart of your regular Fire Orb. If the above stats are high enough, you can easily one-hit most low-level enemies in Dark Souls III.

Dark Souls III Melee Heavy Pyromancy Build

Though Pyromancy’s spells can devastate, some people prefer to play with melee weapons instead. A melee build incentivizes severe damage and armor. If you fancy sword fighting, this build is the right choice.

To make it, let us talk about spells first since these will add to the total damage dealt. There are many options in this arena, such as Iron Fresh, Warmth, and Power Within. You can use Warmth if you do not intend to focus on armor, whereas Power Within is good for increasing damage stats.

Similarly, Iron Fresh is best suited for players opting for a tank build. The downside is a decrease in mobility.

When selecting weapons, we suggest you go with the Greatsword due to its serious damage and weight, ultimately making your build tankier.

Dark Souls III Pyromancy Melee Build

With this build, you will be dealing with less fire damage, but you can use a lot of the Dex weapons.

We personally recommend Katanas or Curved Swords. Even the Chaos Blade can be a lot of fun here if you are willing to put up with the damage it inflicts on the wielder with each strike or about a percentage of your HP.
