Bind and Icebox are considered polar opposites from the perspective of the “VALORANT” gaming community, and with major changes in the game’s next map, such as Bind’s return, many will undoubtedly be pleased.

After months of longing, Riot Games, the video game developer behind “VALORANT,” has at last confirmed Bind’s return to “VALORANT’s” map pool. The developer has already confirmed significant changes in the gameplay for the map for its return, such as the doors on Bind, and gamers can test them out later this month.

Moreover, to make room for Bind, Icebox will make an exit from the competitive and unrated map pool to undergo its own round of changes. Are you excited about these big changes? Here are the details.

‘Best act’

Riot Games confirmed these changes in the map pool via Twitter on Thursday. The game’s creator also revealed that the swap would transpire at the beginning of Act III. However, the exact date for “VALORANT’s” effective third season is not yet confirmed, but previous release schedules hint this on April 25th.

“Icebox leaves the Competitive and Unrated queue map rotation when Bind returns at the start of Act III (Patch 6.08). To help you prepare, the Bind updates will go live in all other modes with Patch 6.07,” @PlayVALORANT posted in the tweet.

Many are quite elated with this announcement. For instance, Twitter netizen @TrulyTenzin posted in the tweet’s comments section, “Icebox and Breeze were my most hated maps. This is going to be the BEST act (emoji)”

The revival of Bind to replace Icebox

Bind is bound to return, replacing Icebox in the “VALORANT” map pool, but it won’t be the exact same as fans recall it. There are even more changes.

Once it returns to “VALORANT,” Bind will get many gameplay changes, including one massive adjustment to the B site. Tunnels now feature a tiny window players on both sides can utilize to exchange utility. The map already has some unpleasant lineups for specific agents. This window will provide more options.

Furthermore, the epochal teleporter will also get a facelift, with the exit now ever closer to the bath near A site. That path likewise leads to much wider openings, which will majorly change how attackers approach a site. Some of these bigger features are several more minor tweaks, such as wider paths and shuffled boxes all over “VALORANT’s” map.

However, Icebox fans will indeed be less delighted about Bind’s return. Icebox is touted as one of the game’s most controversial maps, with its indoor setting and vertical gameplay that make it difficult to stand out. Based on other map rotations, experts say Riot Games will most likely tune up the map for its eventual return soon. As for how long the wait will be, these gaming experts say fans should not hold their breath.
