According to online retailer Newegg, Shiba Inu payments are “coming soon” to the platform. A few days ago, the retail company revealed on its official Twitter that the memecoin SHIB is coming to the platform.

Newegg is an online retailing behemoth specializing in consumer electronics such as PC hardware, game consoles, laptops, and office supplies. It is available internationally and is one of the most popular such platforms in the United States.

So yet, the shop hasn’t revealed any other information about the Shiba Inu addition other than the fact that it would be “coming soon.”

But, thanks to the advent of new ideas and innovations, it’s no longer the only business model in town. Today, game developers and proprietors have found ways to either reduce the initial outlay for consumers or remove it completely in favor of different payment models.

Subscriptions Start New Trends

We’re talking specifically about subscription services, on-demand payments, and in-game transactions. These mechanisms have become popular over the last two decades, but gaming companies have actually been trying to mix things up since the 1980s. Mattel and Atari were the first to experiment with downloadable games. The latter’s GameLine and the former’s PlayCable were subscription services that allowed players to pay a fee and download games over the phone.

The gaming network Steam is basically a modern version of these services. However, due to technical limitations and the speed at which users could download games in the 1980s, PlayCable and GameLine didn’t take off. What they did do, however, is prove that subscription models are possible and, in turn, something consumers were interested in. As such, Nintendo and Sega tried their own rent-to-play subscription services in the 1990s. Again, they didn’t take hold, but the innovations were another step towards the kinds of services we see today.

One of the major turning points for gaming was the rise of online casinos. Polars, a decentralized platform, announced the opening of the mainnet on the HECO and BSC blockchains.

The introduction of the mainnet coincides with the opening of the Big Trading Competition, which is intended to teach users how to utilize the platform, bet, trade, and swiftly manage all of the mainnet’s potential.

There are two polar tokens, Black and White. The outcomes of particular external events determine their value Every day, thousands of events can take place on the platform, and the price of polar tokens can fluctuate dozens of times.

The HECO Chain testnet blockchain will be used for the Big Trading Competition. The major goal of the trading competition is to demonstrate to consumers all of the network’s capabilities and educate them on how to utilize them for various purposes, such as betting or trading. Participants will be compensated for their participation in the tournament.

The initiative formed additional agreements to sponsor the competition, increasing the prize budget to more than $300,000! As an airdrop, 30% of the fund will be distributed to all participants, with the top 100 most passionate participants receiving 70%.
