New Superman Skin Arrives in Fortnite’s Latest Update

Fortnite’s repeated ability to incorporate high-profile crossovers with some of entertainment’s greatest properties is one of the game’s biggest draws. In the most recent Fortnite update, gamers may now dress up like Superman, the Man of Steel himself.

Before this update, Fortnite collaborated with DC on a number of occasions. The Batman Zero skin was added in the Season 2 Chapter 6 Battle Pass, joining the Dark Knight and Comic Book skins previously available for Batman.

Other DC characters included in the game include Harley Quinn, the Joker, Green Arrow, Beast Boy, and many others, in addition to Batman. It goes without saying that Superman’s arrival has been a long time coming.

The Fortnite team revealed today that a Superman cosmetics line would be added to the game. The “Call to Action” Emote, the “Superman Shield” spray, the Clark Kent costume, and a Daily Planet-inspired Back Bling are all included in this version.

Complete Battle Pass Quests offered by Clark Kent, Armored Batman, or Beast Boy to unlock these goods. The Superman skin joins the likes of Cammy and Guile from Street Fighter, a LeBron James and Space Jam promotion, and an Ariana Grande-themed skin.

In addition to Superman’s classic red and blue look, players may also acquire the character’s “Shadow” version. The skin is evocative of Superman’s black suit seen lately in Zack Snyder’s Justice League and other classic Superman stories, with an all-black suit embossed with a silver “S” and completely white eyes.

This skin is acquired by completing a certain number of Chapter 2 Season 7 Epic Quests during the course of the season. Players may shift between Clark Kent and Superman with a taunt—in this case, the “Secret Identity” taunt—with both the normal and Shadow skin variations, just like they could with the Beast Boy skin allowed them to switch between human and beast forms.

After years of success, Fortnite continues to attract prominent celebrities and personalities to the game. While many have come and gone over this time, great skins like this Superman one have been enough to entice gamers to return only to represent their favorite superhero.

With that said, there are still a lot of DC characters that have yet to make an appearance in Fortnite, and they all deserve their day to shine. Meanwhile, it appears that Superman will be called upon to assist in the retaking of the island from those pesky aliens.
