Isn’t it ultimately fulfilling to finally marry a woman you like and go home from the daily grind every day to find a delicious home-cooked meal just for you? While you can do this in gaming (except literally tasting the food, maybe), it takes you to go through some processes before you can wed the woman you want, just like in real-life.

The developers of the popular game “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” are making it possible for you to experience a little bit of that life goal. When you have the Amulet of Mara in the game, you can be able to approach any character you are interested in marrying, provided that their personal quests have been completed and you’ve gained their trust. However, finding that right person can be cumbersome since there are literally several different options to choose from.

But we’re here to make your lives a little easier. In this guide, you will get to know the best wives in “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim,” and not that just. Of course, you will also learn how to marry them. Let’s get to it.

The Most Eligible Wives In ‘Skyrim’ And How To Marry Them

1. Aela The Huntress

First on our list is Aela the Huntress. She is a Nord werewolf, one of the members of The Companions, and among the five members of The Circle. Living in Jorrvaskr with the other Companions, she offers lycanthropy to other members of The Companions, who turn to become members of The Circle.

Before you can marry Aela the Huntress, you must first have her along as a follower. To have her as your follower, the Dragonborn must complete the entire Companions questline and destroy the Silver Hand. Once done, you can already marry her.

2. Mjoll The Lioness

Another interesting character eligible to marry you in “Skyrim” is Mjoll the Lioness. She is a Nord vigilante who has extensively traveled Tamriel and claims to be as experienced and as well-traveled as one can be. Together with Aerin, she can be spotted in Bee and Barb, or wandering around Riften.

To marry Mjoll the Lioness, you must first retrieve her missing unique sword, the Grimsever, from the Dwarven ruin of Mzinchaleft. But, for her to offer you this quest, you must be at least level 14 and gain her trust by agreeing the Thieves’ Guild is evil or helping Riften’s citizens with a range of tasks. After her sword is returned, you can go ahead and marry her.

3. Muiri

Another eligible woman to marry in “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” is Muiri. She is a Breton apothecary who grew up in Windhelm together with her best buddy, Nilsine Shatter-Shield.

She will only become available as a marriage partner in the game if both Alain and Nilsine are assassinated. Muiri is the victim of a betrayal by Nilsine and her lover, Alain Dufont.

4. Borgakh The Steel Heart

Borgakh the Steel Heart is an Orc warrior who could be your follower. Found in Mor Khazgur, she is seen during the day using the training dummy in front of Larak’s Longhouse and sleeping inside at night.

Once you find Borgakh the Steel Heart in Mor Khazgur, she will right away express her envy to the Dragonborn, adding how she would like to adventure too freely.

You can ask her to become their follower, but there will be some persuasion here and probably payment of her dowry to free her from a fixed marriage. Once she decides to join the Dragonborn, you can already marry her.

5. Taarie

It could be quite a blessing to marry Taarie, as she is a career woman. She is the proprietor of Radiant Raiment in Solitude, where she works with Endarie, her sister. When not found in the shop, she can be fetching firewood outside. She also buys and sells apparel and miscellaneous goods.

The Dragonborn must help her with the Fit for a Jarl quest to stand a chance of marrying this woman.

6. Iona

Iona is a Nord housecarl in The Rift. Now she is appointed Housecarl of the Dragonborn once they become Thane of the Rift. She awaits the Dragonborn at Honeyside and does not exist in the game until this happens.

After she has received the Thane of the Rift title, you can find her at Riften’s Honeyside housing. Though Iona is also suitable for marriage, be warned that she is not considered an essential character in the game. Once she dies, she is gone for good.

7. Senna

Next on this list of the best wives to marry in “Skyrim” is Senna. She is a Breton priestess at the Temple of Dibella in Markarth.

In order for you to marry Senna in the game, you must first complete The Heart of Dibella quest by either conversing with Degaine, the drunkard residing in Markarth, or picking a door at the temple.

8. Ysolda

Ysolda is a female Nord you can find in Whiterun. Interestingly, when you speak to her for the first time, she will tell you how she wishes to be the best tradesperson in Skyrim, inspired by the Khajiit caravan parties wandering all over Skyrim.

She is quite a lovely woman. After a Mammoth tusk has been given to Ysolda, you can feel free to marry her.

Wrapping Up

Those are some of the best wives in “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” you can marry and spend the rest of your life with in the game forever. Now it is pretty fascinating that marrying them requires you to complete specific tasks exclusive only to the character. With this guide, you can then fulfill your relationship goals in “Skyrim.”
