Not only that, but this game, together with its prequel, has also sold more than three million copies worldwide, the publisher’s financial update stated.

New Collaboration
What’s official so far is that Asobo Studio, the developer behind the “A Plague Tale” series, has announced a new collaboration with Focus Entertainment. While it did not say if it is for a third game, this announcement has since excited fans.
Focus Entertainment is a video game developer headquartered in Paris, France. It has published and distributed original titles such as “Sherlock Holmes,” “Runaway,” and “TrackMania,” as well as sports game titles like “Virtual Skipper” and “Cycling Manager.”
Though Asobo Studio collaborates with other companies, such as Disney, Pixar, Ubisoft, and Microsoft, on various projects and games inspired by movies, none of these collaborations touched on “A Plague Tale.” It is only with Focus Entertainment.
Furthermore, like how Avalanche Software, the studio behind “Hogwarts Legacy,” posted a new job opening, which made fans hint that a sequel is underway, Asobo Studio also has recent job postings implying that the studio is trying to look for new people for its future projects. During the ending, Amicia expressed her intent to find others afflicted by the Macula curse, which was the principal cause of the plague and rat infestation during the Hundred Years’ War between France and England, the event when the game was set along.
Plus, there was also a secret ending that gave a glimpse of an unknown infant with the mark of the curse engraved on their arm. Gaming experts hinted that this could be about a new carrier of a new curse, leading to a possible third installment. Very interesting, isn’t it?
Release date
Unfortunately, there isn’t any official release date or even window for “Plague Tale 3,” with gaming journalists saying that it could still be in the earlier stages of development.
