Reading that your favorite game has “2” in its title tells many things. Basically, it means that it’s a sequel, and sequels are exciting because they feed on the person’s thirst for more, whether in movies or games.
In the gaming world, you have titles such as “Assassin’s Creed II,” “Angry Birds 2,” “Armored Fist 2,” “Air Warrior II,” “Big Biz Tycoon 2,” and many other sequels.
But wait until you hear about this – “Hogwarts Legacy 2.” Yes, rumors are circulating saying that a sequel is in the works. There’s no other way but to find this out. Check out more PVP Live stories on “Hogwarts Legacy” here.
‘Hogwarts Legacy 2’?
Time indeed flies so fast. It has been over a year since “Hogwarts Legacy” was launched. This is why by this time, some of its gamers who waited for that day to play the game may have already completed it, and they are yearning for more.
However, the closest thing we can have so far about the possibility of a sequel is on the Careers page of Avalanche Software, the developer behind “Hogwarts Legacy.”
Those who are going over the top and speculating about a sequel say that the new job opening posted on that page, which is for a Lead/Advanced Technical Artist, suggests a sequel is underway.
New AAA title?
In the Careers page of Avalanche Software, a company under Warner Bros. Discover, which is from Warner Bros. Pictures, the makers of the “Harry Potter” movie series, the game’s developers are looking for a Lead/Advanced Technical Artist.
“We are looking for a Lead/Advanced Technical Artist with strong Unreal and Python/C++ experience to join our Salt Lake City studio,” the job ad stated. “You will be part of a versatile tech-art team working with the latest technology developing a high-profile AAA title. You will develop solutions [to help] our studio work more efficiently and [raise] the quality.”
You can take this with a grain of salt for now. Even we are surprised by the connection the rumors are trying to make from such an innocent job post to a sequel.
They are saying that the developers posting a high-profile job means a new title is coming your way. But they are also saying that it might just be a spin-off game. But who knows? Right now, the world is far from a “Hogwarts Legacy” sequel.
But Gamers Want These Features In Case There Will Be A ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ Sequel
But, but, but, surprise, surprise, some gamers are loud and proud to share the things they want to see in the “Hogwarts Legacy” sequel if this will come true.
“Hogwarts Legacy” is set in the Wizarding World during the late 1800s, a time when Harry Potter and his gang had not yet been born. So, even if the game is open-world, gamers are still missing features such as the Triwizard Tournament and the Hogwarts Express.
Here are some of the stuff “Hogwarts Legacy” players want to see in the sequel, should there be any.
Multiplayer Mode: Play With Friends
One of the downsides of “Hogwarts Legacy” is that it is just a single-player game, not multiplayer. So, you either play it with some soda beside you or have your sibling cheer for you as you play.
This is why some gamers wish “Hogwarts Legacy 2” would be playable among friends and family, just like the adventures of Harry, Ron, and Hermione during their time.
Experience The Triwizard Tournament
J. K. Rowling, the author of “Harry Potter,” is a creative genius! You’ve seen how the Triwizard Tournament was described and appeared in the movies, and it is marvelous.
The Triwizard Tournament was a competition between Europe’s three leading wizarding schools: the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the Durmstrang Institute, and the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. A Champion represented each of those schools. The prizes are the precious Triwizard Cup, 1,000 Galleons, and “eternal glory.” Harry Potter was selected AS the Champion of Hogwarts.
However, Harry Potter lore says the Triwizard Tournament was discontinued from 1792 until 1994. “Hogwarts Legacy” is set in the late 1800s. But don’t lose hope. It could be a different tournament inspired by this.
Ride The Hogwarts Express
The Hogwarts Express is the official, iconic train that brings wizarding students to Hogwarts. This train has also been infamous because it has borne witness to harrowing events such as Harry facing the dementors.
Interestingly enough, the Hogwarts Express is not part of “Hogwarts Legacy.” But why not? The first train transported people in the early 1800s. The game is set in the late 1800s. But who knows? Maybe there will be a Hogwarts Express in the “sequel.”
Other features gamers are looking forward to if a sequel is possible are pet companions, visiting other wizarding schools, a morality meter (so you avoid being like Lord Voldemort, new spells, and a playable Quidditch.
Play “Hogwarts Legacy” on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and Microsoft Windows.
