What makes the trending anime “My Hero Academia” unique and exciting above the rest is that some of the characters do not just share their personal stories but are also known to have superpowers the plot calls “Quirks.” In this edition of our post, we’ll tackle the Quirk of Keigo “Hawks” Takami. Let’s begin.

First Things First, Who Is Hawks?

Hawks, known by his full name Keigo Takami and alias Wing Hero: Hawks, is one of the central protagonists in this anime. He was the No. 2 Pro Hero of Japan and is quite an entrepreneur as he manages his own hero agency.

Furthermore, Hawks was also ranked one of Japan’s top 10 Pro Heroes within that year, hailed as the youngest hero to have achieved that feat. He was also Fumikage Tokoyami’s mentor. Tokoyami is a supporting main character in the story.

Following the Final War, Hawks became the new president of the Hero Public Safety Commission. Now, let’s take a closer look at his Quirk.

Hawks’ Quirk Discussed

Takami’s fashion makes him appear like a vintage-looking pilot. And indeed he is, as his Quirk is all about flying. His Quirk is known as Fierce Wings or his feathered wings, over which he has telekinetic control. That said, he could qualify as part of the X-Men, couldn’t he?

First of all, he can use his mind’s power to control his wings or feathers. Not only that but being a “hawk,” he can hear and feel vibrations of the surroundings through each of his wing’s feathers. Wicked. Plus, did you know he can even hear heartbeats?

Of course, his wings, being huge, can carry other people. If, in any case, part of his wings gets destroyed in battle or whatever, they quickly regenerate.

And here’s the weird but fun part. His feathers can cut and stab enemies, working like swords. Believe it or not, they can even cut through stone. How about that?

But, if you think these Fierce Wings make him fast like The Flash, think again because speed may not be his ultimate power, unfortunately.

Nevertheless, he also has eyes like those of birds, changing shapes and sizes often, particularly his pupils and irises. Bird’s eye view, check.

Conclusion

With those superpowers, Hawks is somebody you’d want to keep by your side. However, he is not the strongest, to say the least, though he is among the most interesting characters in the “My Hero Academia” story primarily because of this Quirk. He can well be buddies with the Justice League’s Hawkgirl, right?
