Like many other games, “Pokémon GO” has several questlines you can play. One of these is the A Cosmic Companion questline. Gradually launched throughout the game’s Season of Light, its eighth season, this Special Research quest allows you to catch Cosmog, a legendary Pokémon. Here’s what you need to know about evolving Cosmog.
Cosmog’s Abilities
Cosmog can warp itself and those closer to it. Furthermore, it can also open Ultra Wormholes when this Pokémon finds itself under extreme stress. However, this process is very hazardous for the Pokémon as using that power can leave it immobile for long periods. Or, it can even be fatal if misused.
How To Get Cosmog In ‘Pokémon GO’
Don’t attempt to find Cosmog in the wild because in “Pokémon GO,” you cannot get this Nebula Pokémon from those places. The only way to get Cosmog is to complete the Special Research tasks.
Accomplishing the first part of A Cosmic Companion and the entire Starry Skies Special Research are currently the only ways to encounter and capture Cosmog. Once you complete the tasks, you can capture Cosmog.
How To Evolve Cosmog Into Cosmoem
To evolve your Cosmog into Cosmoem, you must have 25 Cosmog candies. Not just these, but you also need to work your way toward the fifth stage of the A Cosmic Companion Special Research story, particularly the “Evolve a Cosmog.”
Thankfully, as you complete the fourth stage, you will be given 25 candies, which you need to bring toward the next step in evolving your Cosmog into Cosmoem. Generally, these steps are easy to do.
How To Evolve Cosmoem Into Lunala Or Solgaleo
Once the rest of the Special Research steps have been added, “Pokémon GO” games can evolve Cosmoem further into Solgaleo or Lunala. By finishing step eight of 12, which is to capture three Pokémons, trainers can get 50 more Cosmog candies.
By this time, you should have at least 100 Cosmog candies, which should be enough to evolve Cosmoem.
To evolve Cosmog into Cosmoem, tap on the Poké Ball located in the center of your home screen. Then, proceed to the Pokémon search and look for Cosmoem. Click on its page. There should be a button beneath showing grayed-out photos of Solgaleo and Lunala. In case the images don’t show up, you can force-close the app and repeat that process again.
Solgaleo and Lunala are each designated with a button. However, note that Solgaleo, a Psychic- and Steel-type Pokémon, can only be acquired if players evolve Cosmoem during the daytime. Consequently, Cosmoem can evolve into Lunala, a Psychic- and Ghost-type Legendary Pokémon, after the night falls.
Those are pretty much everything you need to know about evolving Cosmog. “Pokémon GO” is an augmented reality mobile game by Niantic, Nintendo, and The Pokémon Company, playable on iOS and Android devices.
