Eevee is, without a doubt, one of the cutest Pokémons out there. Being so, it is fascinating to explore Eeevee and its evolutions known as “Eevee-lutions” (Witty at that). So, in this guide, you will learn how to get all Eevee evolutions in “Pokémon GO,” both using name tricks and without.

Evolve Eevee In ‘Pokémon GO’ Using Name Tricks

Eevee has eight different evolutions: Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Umbreon, Espeon, Glaceon, Leafeon, and Sylveon. If you wish to evolve Eevee into Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon at random, you need first to acquire 25 Eevee candies.

But that takes up so much time. Don’t worry because there’s a very easy way to evolve Eevee into its evolved forms. That is, by using name tricks.

Below are the names you must use to get all the evolutions of Eevee in “Pokémon GO”:

  • For Vaporeon, use “Rainer.”
  • For Flareon, use “Pyro.”
  • For Jolteon, use “Sparky.”
  • For Umbreon, use “Tamao.”
  • For Espeon, use “Sakura.”
  • For Glaceon, use “Rea.”
  • For Leafeon, use “Linnea.”
  • For Sylveon, use “Kira.”

But there are notes that you should remember. First, you must ensure that the silhouette of the evolution you want shows up on the evolve button, or else the name trick will not work.

Second, while these methods are easy, they only allow you to get each Eevee-lution once. After you have performed one of them on your account, you will no longer get that particular evolution of Eevee, even using that method on your account.

So what are alternatives? We’ll get to that later on.

Using 25 Candy

After using the name trick method for the first and only time (as it should be), evolving Eevee into Vaporeon, Flareon, or Jolteon will be random, unfortunately. Not possible to be immediate anymore.

But you can use 25 Candy to evolve Eevee into one of the evolutions enumerated above.

How About Without A Name Trick?

To evolve Eevee another way, without using name tricks, you can complete tasks that will reward you with a specific Eevee. Here are the details.

  • For Vaporeon – There is no surefire way, unfortunately. Sorry about that. There is a 33 percent chance of getting a Vaporeon when an Eevee evolves.
  • For Flareon – There is also no surefire way. Like Vaporeon’s, there is a 33 percent chance of getting a Flareon when an Eevee evolves.
  • For Jolteon – Jolteon is a random evolution. You will need to use 25 Candy to evolve an Eevee into a Jolteon.
  • For Umbreon – You need to walk 6.2 miles with an Eevee to evolve it at night to Umbreon.
  • For Espeon – Somewhat the same as Umbreon’s evolution, but do it during the day. You must walk 6.2 miles with an Eevee to evolve it to Espeon.
  • For Glaceon – You need to insert a Glacial Lure in the empty Module Slot at a PokeStop and evolve your Eevee nearby to Glaceon. You need to spend 200 coins for the Glacial Lure Module.
  • For Leafeon – You must drop a Mossy Lure Module at a PokeStop to get a Leafeon. The Mossy Lure is worth 200 coins.
  • For Sylveon – You can obtain Sylveon via Buddy Adventure. You should make your Eevee your Best Friend (or earning 70 hearts with it) to get a Sylveon. As soon as you secure 70 friendship hearts with an Eevee, Sylveon’s silhouette will be available next to the evolve button.

Why Are Eevee Evolutions Not Working?

Either you have already used the name trick, or you failed to follow the guide above.

Eevee was created by Motofumi Fujiwara, who took inspiration from his childhood memories, particularly when he was lost in a forest and chanced upon an “undefinable” creature. He then created the initial design for Eevee, which he likened to a fluffy cat or dog-like creature you would often see in the country.
