From Santa Monica Studio and Sony Interactive Entertainment, “God of War Ragnarök” is an action-adventure game that is also historic as its release for PlayStation 4 and 5 marked its first-ever cross-gen release in the series.

Loosely based on the grandeur of Norse mythology, “God of War Ragnarök” is set in ancient Scandinavia featuring the protagonist, Kratos, and his teenage son, Atreus. Concluding the series’ Norse era, the game covers Ragnarök, the eschatological event renowned in Norse mythology and was foretold to occur in the previous game after Kratos killed Aesir god Baldur.

In the game, to be able to battle with prowess and make combat much more manageable, you need to don the proper armor. The game’s best armor sets decrease the difficulty of gameplay, either by making Kratos incredibly more durable or by buffing his already strong attracts. Armors are great for anybody who finds the game challenging but still wants to make combat easier.

So, in this list, PVP Live will present the best armors in “God of War Ragnarök,” including some information on how to get them. Read on.

Best Armors In ‘God Of War Ragnarök’

Here are the best armors in the game and how to get them, starting with Nidavellir’s Finest Plackart.

Nidavellir’s Finest Plackart (Chest Armor)

Skill

This armor features the “Stunning Restoration” skill, which grants the player a health burst and restores the health of Kratos for a few moments whenever you stun grab an opponent with R3.

How To Get It

You can obtain this armor from storefronts in Svartalfheim. Also, you will also need Forged Iron and Dwarven Steel to craft, as well as upgrade it later. It is also recommended that you tackle the “In Service of Asgard” favor.

Bracers Of Raven Tears (Wrist Armor)

Skill

On the other hand, the Bracers of Raven Tears wrist armor has the “Healing Efficacy II” skill, which increases the healing from all sources, whether it is about using rage capabilities, picking up healthstones, or depending on an armor perk. Furthermore, you will also receive a 15 percent increase should you wear a piece of the set (either wrist or waist) and a 30 percent increase by wearing both.

How To Get It

You can acquire this armor as a reward for eliminating six of Odin’s Ravens. Once you finish that, proceed to Niflheim and open the first chest on the tree’s left side.

Girdle Of Raven Tears (Waist Armor)

Skill

If there’s the Bracers of Raven Tears, you also have the Girdle of Raven Tears. Its skill is also similar to the skill of the previous armor on this list.

How To Get It

Get the Girdle of Raven Tears waist armor as a reward for successfully eliminating 12 of Odin’s Ravens. Once you’ve done that, head to Niflheim and open the chest on the tree’s left side.

Lúnda’s Lost Cuirass (Chest Armor)

Skill

The Lúnda’s Lost Cuirass has the “Vanir Poison” skill that works so that bare-handed attacks, blocks, and parries have a high-luck chance to inflict bonus damages and poison the enemies.

How To Get It

Get this armor from inside a chest Vanaheim. Once you get access to the River Delta area, you will encounter Nóatún’s Garden. This site is located on the eastern riverside, to the “hub” spot’s right, together with the Mystic Gateway and the blacksmith shop. As you navigate through it, locate a door you can open with your new “key.” The entry isn’t hard to find, as two troll statues are on each side. The chest is within that room whose door you just opened.

Lúnda’s Lost Bracers (Wrist Armor)

Skill

On the other hand, the Lúnda’s Lost Bracers wrist armor has the “Prey Upon Poison II” skill, which grants more damage to melee attacks versus poisoned opponents. Wearing a piece of the armor set (either wrist or waist) gives you a 20 percent increase. You will get a 40 percent increase if you choose to wear both.

How To Get It

After successfully gaining access to the River Delta area, you will eventually come across The Veiled Passage. If you are doing the “Freya’s Missing Peace” favor, you can reach The Veiled Passage by turning left as you head to your boat’s shrine. Once you are inside, proceed all the way to the dead end on the cavern’s opposite side. There, you will see a tiny chest surrounded by stores. The chest with this armor is right next to this spot, within the broken wall behind the plants.

Lúnda’s Lost Belt (Waist Armor)

Skill

Its skill is similar to that of Lúnda’s Lost Bracers.

How To Get It

Once you gain access to the River Delta area, you will stumble upon the Cliffside Ruins. Now be sure to climb to the left side, leading to the bridge-like paths. Then, head within the broken wall along that path leading to the lifted bridge. You must only watch out for exploding flowers. After you do, proceed and grab the armor piece from the chest.
